Dear Friend,
Its been a rough year!My husband lost his job. We have alot of debt a big old house and we are scared. Plus 4 kids, one married one getting married one graduating high school and the last starting kindergarten. I have diabetes. my medicine is very expensive.
We had grown accustome to having plenty after years of having not so much. Now instead of going shopping for food on my schedule, I wait for food stamps to arive once a month.I take generic medication instead of the good stuff that works really well. I tell my kids no alot these days. We've been here before. I just never thougth we would be back.
Skip ahead 14 months. My Husband found a job. It pays less but its enough. Im learning just how Gods provisions work. Its been a long road to get here. Many scary days lots of support from family. But mostly I want to tell you haw gratefull I am for Gods grace. I read a quote once or heard it. Im not sure "Faith is believeing what can only be seen in reverse". Sometimes I marvel at the people who know such things.I guess im telling the story in reverse so you know it has a happy ending. I never lost hope. It is the one thing I held onto fiercly.
We knew the company was in trouble, there had allready been lots. my husband was on his way to a meeting to discuss the next round of people to be let go. Who knew when he walked into the office it would be his head on the chopping block. But things happen, right. Loss is a funny thing, He was devistated. I was ok with it. You see im madly in love with my husband and I allways cherrish any extra time with him. Who knew I had hit the proverbial jackpot of time that day.
He had to turn in his company car and keys. it had been years since we were a one car family. We live in a rural comunity so you need a reliable car. luckily we had just purcheased a new van, with a hefty payment for the next 3 years. That allways seems to be the way of it though. My husband being upper management was givin a severance package of 5 months pay. So no big on the bills . I great at budgeting and with careful planning we should be fine and seriously, my husband has a pretty terrific job history and is also a really great guy. He will have a job in no time.......
Since you know the end of the story you know thats not what happened.
I have to go for now but I'll write again soon , and tell you more of the story.
Love, Me
